Leonard is the founder of the Vancouver International Film Festival and Festival Cinemas which operated the Fifth Avenue Cinemas, and the Park and Ridge Theatre. He is also a retired Registered Psychologist. David Schein - D

David is the founder of Food Stash Foundation. Previously working as a language teacher at King David High School in Vancouver, David left his work as an educator to found Food Stash Foundation in September 2016. Now sitting on the Board of Directors, David continues to support Food Stash on its mission and is currently working again as a teacher.

Anna Migicovsky -

Director

Anna is a long-term supporter of Food Stash starting from the dinner table conversation where the name "Food Stash" originated. She served as the founding board chair from 2016-2019. Professionally, Anna brings a unique perspective from her mix of non-profit, social enterprise and private sector experience. She has always been drawn to complex problems. With her background in science and experience in business, she is passionate about using human-centred design and systems thinking principles to help leaders implement change across their organizations.

Sophie Kelk - D

Sophie is the Marketing & Communications Manager for Coast Mental Health Foundation. With an agency background, she has a wealth of experience in PR, email marketing, social media, fundraising etc. Originally from the UK, she came to Vancouver seeking adventure and the great outdoors and is passionate about using her expertise to make the planet a better place.

 

Matt Livingston -

Matt Livingston is a Principal Consultant at Anthesis Provision. Prior to Anthesis, Matt was Senior Specialist, Mission & Strategy for Nature’s Path Foods where he was responsible for leading the company’s multitude of sustainability initiatives and strategy. Matt formerly worked as Director of Sustainability at SPUD.ca where his team launched several industry-first and award-winning waste reduction programs. Read More

Larry Ho - Director

Larry serves as the CEO of The Arbutus Club, a modern recreation complex dedicated to putting families first. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada he has worked in the hospitality and private club industry such as MGM Resorts International and Jericho Tennis Club. Larry has served in various committee and Director roles in non-profit organizations such as Volleyball BC and Burnaby Community Services. Larry earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).

Julie Dickson Olmstead

A 35-year Food Industry veteran, Julie is a former Managing Director for Canada’s largest privately-held Western-based food retailer, Pattison Food Group, where she held responsibility for public affairs, ESG and DEI strategy, government and industry relation, food security, food rescue, sustainability, zero waste and environmental leadership projects. In addition to participating in a wide range of strategic food industry initiatives and cross-sectoral projects, today, she is the Vice Chairman of the board of the Canadian Centre for Food Integrity; is a member of the Management Board of Canada’s National Zero Waste Council; a member of the Canada’s Food Policy Advisory Council and serves clients across the country in their efforts to advance sustainability and food systems with community interests in mind.
